A questão palestina frente à ameaça sionista desde o século XIX: colonialismo e segregação racial.

O capítulo buscará compreender a questão palestina, a colonização das terras da palestina histórica pelo denominado "Estado" de Israel, dentro da ideologia sionista que se iniciou em fins do século XIX. Sionismo é conceituado aqui como o movimento de criação de um Estado judeu e a doutrina política que rege os fundamentos deste Estado, não se confundindo com judaísmo ou a expressão da condição de judeu. O sionismo impactou drasticamente a Palestina a partir da criação do Estado de Israel na região, em maio de 1948. Para a compreensão deste longo fenômeno histórico, este estudo baseou-se em pesquisa de natureza teórica e qualitativa, empregando o método de pesquisa bibliográfica.

  • Abstract: This chapter will seek to understand the Palestinian issue, the colonization of the lands of historic Palestine by the so-called "State" of Israel, within the Zionist ideology that began in the late 19th century. Zionism is conceptualized here as the movement to create a Jewish State and the political doctrine that governs the foundations of this State, not to be confused with Judaism or the expression of the Jewish condition. Zionism had a drastic impact on Palestine after the creation of the State of Israel in the region in May 1948. In order to understand this long historical phenomenon, this study was based on theoretical and qualitative research, employing the bibliographic research method.
