A QUESTÃO AGRÁRIA NA ORIGEM DAS MIGRAÇÕES HAITIANAS
O Haiti, país caribenho que
atualmente possui cerca de 10 milhões de
habitantes, tem sua trajetória marcada pelas
migrações. O único exemplo na história de uma
revolução de ex-escravos que forçou a abolição
da escravidão e primeiro país independente da
América Latina, tem na questão agrária muitas
explicações para o processo de degradação
ambiental e vulnerabilidade às catástrofes, bem
como o intenso processo de precarização do
trabalho e consequentemente, das condições
de vida. Por esse motivo, o objetivo central
deste trabalho é analisar a relação entre a
questão agrária do Haiti e as migrações de seu
povo, iniciadas, de maneira mais evidente, nas
primeiras décadas do século XX e estendidas
até a atualidade. Para isso, a metodologia
utilizada baseou-se em revisão bibliográfica de
autores haitianos e brasileiros que apresentaram
contribuições sobre a formação social haitiana,
a questão agrária do Haiti, as intervenções
internacionais e as migrações.

Abstract:
Haiti, a Caribbean country that
currently has about 10 million inhabitants,
has its trajectory marked by migrations. The
only example in the history of a former slave
revolution that forced the abolition of slavery
and the first independent country in Latin
America has in the agrarian question many
explanations for the process of environmental
degradation and vulnerability to catastrophe, as
well as the intense process of precariousness of
work and, consequently, of living conditions. For
this reason, the main objective of this paper is
to analyze the relationship between the agrarian
question of Haiti and the migrations of its
people, begun in a more evident way in the first
decades of the twentieth century and extended
to the present time. For this, the methodology
used was based on a bibliographical review of
Haitian and Brazilian authors who presented
contributions on the Haitian social formation,
the agrarian question of Haiti, the international
interventions and the migrations.
