A PROMOÇÃO DA SAÚDE DE CRIANÇAS E ADOLESCENTES EM ACOLHIMENTO INSTITUCIONAL NO BRASIL E EM PORTUGAL
Este trabalho decorre de uma
pesquisa realizada no âmbito de um pósdoutoramento em Serviço Social, que teve
o objetivo de analisar as ações de promoção
da saúde de crianças e adolescentes em
acolhimento institucional no Brasil e em
Portugal. Pretende-se ainda identificar as
estratégias utilizadas para garantir a promoção
da saúde dessas crianças e adolescentes,
bem como as perspectivas de trabalho em
rede no campo da assistência integral à saúde
de crianças e adolescentes com ênfase nas
situações de acolhimento institucional. Tratase de uma pesquisa qualitativa, para a qual foi
utilizada a pesquisa bibliográfica, documental
e de campo. A coleta de dados ocorreu com
a realização de entrevistas com profissionais
das instituições de acolhimento, utilizando-se
um roteiro norteador de perguntas abertas. Os
resultados indicam haver preocupação dessas
instituições com a promoção da saúde dos
acolhidos, o que se expressa por meio de ações
voltadas para as crianças e adolescentes,
suas famílias e também aos profissionais.
Identifica-se a existência de parcerias/acordos
das instituições de acolhimento com serviços
privados de saúde, além de recorrerem aos
serviços públicos como forma de promoverem
a saúde das crianças e adolescentes acolhidos.
Espera-se que esta investigação contribua para
dar maior visibilidade à questão, possibilitando
um trabalho de reflexão, revisão e melhoria
na prestação dos serviços de acolhimento
institucional e no desenvolvimento de novas
alternativas de promoção da saúde de crianças
e adolescentes acolhidos.

Abstract:
This work is the result of a research
conducted within the scope of a post-doctoral
investigation in Social Services, which aimed
to analyze the actions of health promotion for
children and young adults who live in residential
care institutions in Brazil and Portugal. It also
aims at identifying the strategies used to
guarantee the health promotion of these children
and adolescents, as well as the perspectives of
working withina network of institutions in the
field of integral health assistance for children
and adolescents, focusing in situations of
residential care. It is a qualitative research, in
which bibliographical, documental and field
investigations were conducted. Data collection
took place through interviews with the professionals of the institutions of residential
care, using a guiding script with open questions. The results indicated that these
institutions are concerned with the health promotion of those under their care, which
they express through actions targeted at the children and adolescents, at their families
as well as at the professionals of the institutions. There are partnerships/agreements
between the institutions of residential care and private health services, not to mention
situations in which they resort to public services to promote the health of the children
and adolescents under their care. This investigation is expected to contribute to offer
greater visibility to this issue, allowing for the theme to be reflected upon and reviewed,
leading to an improvement in the offering of residential care services from these
institutions and in the development of new alternatives for the promotion of the health
of children and adolescents.
