Keywords: ABSTRACT: This article aims to present a study carried out with field diaries of students of the Technical Course in Agriculture with Emphasis on agroecology - Subsequent Form, in Alternation regime, produced, within the scope of the Portuguese Instrumental discipline. The students in question entered the Course through a second call. The Course is offered by the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco - UFRPE, Campus Serra Talhada, with School Time held at the Ibimirim-Pe Research Station. The Portuguese Instrumental discipline was part of the curriculum of the Course, offered in the first part of the First Module of School Time, in the 2019 term, but which, for students who entered the second call, was offered at the end of 2020 and, because of the pandemic caused by the Sars-Cov2 virus, it occurred synchronously and asynchronously by software applications for videoconferencing and chat applications. For the analysis of written texts, the text analysis method proposed by the studies of Sociodiscursive Interactionism - ISD was used. The results revealed that the texts produced by the students of the Course have characteristics specific to the genre of daily text, but they escape the specificities suggested by Falkembac (1987) to be considered field diaries. Keywords: Text genres; Sociodiscursive interactionism; Field diaries.
