A perspectiva religiosa de adolescentes infratores da Grande Belém
O presente artigo é fruto de
pesquisas campo voltada para à compreensão
da perspectiva religiosa/teológica de
adolescentes infratores que cumprem medidas
em Unidades de Atendimentos Socioeducativos
– UASE’s da região metropolitana de Belém-
PA (conhecida também como Grande Belém).
No decorrer da pesquisa percebemos que
existe grande número de adolescentes em
conflitos com a lei reconhecendo-se como
cristãos. Isso evidencia a nítida relação entre
pensamento social, educação e religião. Nosso
objetivo é compreender como estes atuam
na construção de uma ética que mistura atos
infracionais, ostentação e cristianismo de uma
forma extremamente peculiar. Essa perspectiva
ética está cada vez mais presente nos grandes
centros urbanos do Brasil, geralmente forjada
dentro do ambiente onde a criminalidade e
religião não apenas andam juntas, mas são
inseparáveis. Em uma busca por entender o
conceito de sagrado, e a forma como este é
apresentado aos adolescentes, notamos ainda
que estes constroem suas cosmovisões éticas,
a partir de pressupostos sociais, educacionais e
religiosos. As informações apresentadas foram
obtidas por meio de entrevistas com internos e
ex-internos de UASE’s da região metropolitana
de Belém-PA, bem como policiais e funcionários
da mesma, além de fontes bibliográficas de
teóricos da área que nos ajudam a compreender
esse fenômeno.

Abstract:
This article is the result of field
research aimed at understanding the religious
/ theological perspective of juvenile offenders
who comply with measures in Socio-educational
Assistance Units in the metropolitan region of
Belém-PA (also known as Greater Belém). In
the course of the research we see that there are
a large number of adolescents in conflicts with
the law recognizing themselves as Christians.
This shows the clear relationship between social
thought, education and religion. Our goal is to
understand how these act in the construction of
an ethic that mixes infractions, ostentation and
Christianity in an extremely peculiar way. This
ethical perspective is increasingly present in
the large urban centers of Brazil, usually forged
within an environment where crime and religion
not only go hand in hand, but are inseparable. In a quest to understand the concept of
the sacred, and the way it is presented to adolescents, we also note that they construct
their ethical worldviews, based on social, educational and religious presuppositions.
The information presented was obtained through interviews with inmates and exinmates
of Socio-educational Assistance Units in the metropolitan region of Belém-PA,
as well as police officers and staff, as well as bibliographical sources of theorists in the
area who help us to understand this phenomenon.
