A PERCEPÇÃO AMBIENTAL DA POPULAÇÃO DE URUCURITUBA-AM QUANTO AO GERENCIAMENTO DOS RESÍDUOS SÓLIDOS URBANOS
O propósito do presente trabalho foi
verificar a percepção ambiental da população de
Urucurituba-AM, quanto aos aspectos relativos
à gestão dos resíduos sólidos. Para isso, foi
realizada uma visita a zona urbana da cidade,
mais precisamente, no bairro da Liberdade para
aplicação de um questionário semiestruturado,
que ocorreu no período de junho a julho de
2019, sendo uma entrevista composta por um
total de 15 perguntas objetivas, realizadas a 43
famílias. De acordo com as informações obtidas,
as respostas foram agrupadas e receberam um
tratamento quantitativo. A análise dos dados
foi realizada no software Windows Excel 2013.
O estudo apontou que os moradores do bairro
da Liberdade possuem boa percepção quanto
aos aspectos relativos à gestão dos resíduos
sólidos em seu meio ambiente urbano, sendo
capazes de reconhecer os principais problemas
ambientais e sociais alusivos ao gerenciamento
dos resíduos sólidos urbanos. A população
local apresentou um bom nível instrução,
fator que contribui para percepção ambiental
mais apurada dessa população. Contudo, os
aspectos ligados as Leis e diretrizes referentes
a Gestão Integrada dos Resíduos Sólidos,
apresentaram-se desconhecidas a essa
população. O entendimento desse conjunto de
Leis, é visto como fundamental na busca por
uma participação mais ativa de cada membro da
sociedade, pôs proporciona melhores tomada
de decisões individual ou coletiva. Também
foi observado poucas práticas pró-ambientais
adotada pela população, um problema atribuído
à ausência de políticas públicas, reflexo da
negligência dos gestores do saneamento
urbano, em atender as normais e legislações
vigentes.
