Abstract: The present work reports the analysis of the case of the London Airport Network (RAL), composed of six airports (Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Luton, London City and Southend), with the objective of identifying and analyzing the configuration of the RAL, as well as its relationship with the metropolis. The methodology was based on graphic materials and empirical analysis, referenced in the literature on city networks and flows, in addition to the collection of quantitative data from reports and sites of the main organs of the United Kingdom. The urban analysis developed, combined with the statistics, allowed us to understand the relationship that airports have with the city and what are the main influences on the occupation of space, to which markets the flows are distributed, to understand their position within the network and what territorial coverage is served, which favors the transit of goods and people. Thus, it was possible to identify the constituent elements of the network that makes it a paradigm, such as the influences of airports in the space in which it is located, the complexity of the transport system that connects them, being a materialization of the multiplicity of flows that characterize the reality of contemporary society, without limits and physical barriers, where everything is connected.
