A OPRESSÃO E A DISCRIMINAÇÃO DO GÊNERO FEMININO
Este trabalho é fruto de uma revisão da literatura do papel da mulher na sociedade desde o início da civilização sedentária até a contemporaneidade brasileira. O objetivo deste estudo é mostrar como a mulher sofreu com a opressão e com a discriminação em razão do seu gênero, além de refletir sobre a forma de como a sociedade machista entende seu papel, relacionando-o aos afazeres domésticos e à procriação, submetendo a mulher à vontade do homem ou “chefe” da família. Muitos preconceitos sobre o papel feminino perpetuam-se devido à falta de indignação e conformismo do ambiente. Diversos aspectos são analisados para entender como e as razões pelas quais esses pensamentos incompatíveis com o século XXI ainda prevalecem e dificultam a vida das pessoas envolvidas, afetando a sociedade como um todo. A sociedade sofreu evoluções, contudo não suficientes para acabar com moldes enraizados e distorcidos sobre a figura feminina que aparece, por exemplo, moldada na literatura e nas cantigas populares.

Abstract:
This work is the result of a review of the literature and the role of women in society from the beginning of the sedentary civilization to the Brazilian contemporary. The objective of this study is to show how women have suffered from oppression and discrimination because of their gender, besides reflecting on how the male-dominated society understands their objective, relating it to domestic chores and procreation, submitting the woman to the man will or householder. Many prejudices about the female role perpetuate themselves due to the lack of indignation and conformism of the environment. Several aspects are analyzed to understand how and the reasons why these thoughts incompatible with the 21st century still prevail and make life difficult for the people involved, directly or indirectly, affecting society as a whole. Society has undergone evolutions, however not enough to end rooted and distorted molds on the female figure that appears, for example, molded in literature and popular songs.
