Abstract:
The adoption of new technologies at scale depends on of the regulations in force. Microgrids are an example of innovation that strongly suffers this impact. Such innovation applied to the electrical network has shown high potential for resolve issues related to energy generation and the quality of this energy. In this context, the article addresses the characteristics of Brazilian energy matrix in relation to the world, the possible economic and environmental impacts, as well as the consequences of the penetration of the new model in other countries, where the technique is more widespread and finally, employment considerations of the technique in Brazil.
