A MÚSICA COMO INSTRUMENTO DE IDENTIFICAÇÃO E INTERVENÇÃO EM CONFLITOS EMOCIONAIS DE CRIANÇAS HOSPITALIZADAS
Esta pesquisa, financiada pela
Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa de São
Paulo, emergiu no contexto das atividades
desenvolvidas no projeto "Brinquedoteca
hospitalar", onde eram desenvolvidas atividades
lúdicas diversas com as crianças, entre elas a
música. A pesquisa, de cunho qualitativo e de
tipo estudo de caso, teve por objetivo investigar
a viabilidade da utilização da música cantada
na identificação e intervenção em conflitos
emocionais de crianças hospitalizadas.
Utilizou-se, como instrumentos de coleta de
dados, entrevistas informais com as crianças
e acompanhantes e músicas cantadas, com
o auxílio de violão. Os sujeitos foram duas
crianças, entre nove e dez anos, e os encontros
ocorreram em seus próprios leitos, na ala de
pediatria de um hospital público do interior de
São Paulo. Tanto a estruturação técnica da
intervenção como a análise de dados foram
realizados com base nos preceitos das teorias de
Safra e Winnicott. Os resultados obtidos foram
positivos, indicando a possibilidade da utilização
da música na identificação e intervenção em
conflitos emocionais das crianças participantes,
minimizando o sofrimento emocional decorrente
da doença e/ou hospitalização.

Abstract:
This research, funded by the São
Paulo Research Support Foundation, emerged
in the context of the activities developed in the
project "Hospital Brinquedoteca", where diverse
play activities were developed with children,
among them music. The qualitative and case
study research aimed to investigate the feasibility
of the use of sung music in the identification
and intervention in emotional conflicts of
hospitalized children. As an instrument for data
collection, informal interviews with children and
accompanying persons and singing songs were
used with the help of a guitar. The subjects were
two children, between nine and ten years old,
and the meetings occurred in their own beds, in
the pediatric ward of a public hospital in the interior of São Paulo. Both the technical
structuring of the intervention and the data analysis were performed based on the
precepts of the theories of Safra and Winnicott. The results were positive, indicating
the possibility of music use in identifying and intervening in the emotional conflicts of
the participating children, minimizing the emotional suffering resulting from the illness
and / or hospitalization.
