A MULTIMODALIDADE E A AVALIAÇÃO DA AQUISIÇÃO DE LINGUAGEM EM CRIANÇAS ATÉ DOIS ANOS DE IDADE
Objetivo: A linguagem não é compreendida apenas pela fala, mas sim por um envelope multimodal que inclui olhares e gestos. Dessa forma o objetivo do estudo é descrever como as categorias multimodais emergem no processo de aquisição de linguagem. Método: Trata-se de um estudo retrospectivo, longitudinal e qualitativo em que os dados coletados foram analisados pelo software Elan 6.0. Os participantes do estudo foram duplas cuidadores-bebê usuários do Ambulatório de Monitoramento Auditivo e de Linguagem do Centro de Estudos e Pesquisas em Reabilitação Profº Drº Gabriel O.S.Porto da FCM/UNICAMP. O estudo foi aprovado pelo Comitê de Ética sob o parecer 61724316.6.0000.5404. Resultados: Os participantes fazem uso dos recursos multimodais da língua, de forma que em contextos em que as crianças não fazem uso da fala, a presença dos gestos auxilia na identificação de que ela está no processo de aquisição de linguagem, o que mostra a indissociável relação entre gesto e fala. Conclusão: O conhecimento dos aspectos multimodais da língua(gem) pode fornecer uma rica contribuição para a avaliação da aquisição da linguagem infantil, uma vez que os cuidadores e as crianças fazem uso dos recursos multimodais nos contextos dialógicos.

Abstract:
Main goal: Language is not understood only by speech, but by a multimodal structure that includes looks and gestures. Thus, the objective of the study is to describe how the multimodal categories emerge in the language acquisition process. Method: This is a retrospective, longitudinal and qualitative study in which the data collected was analyzed using the Elan 6.0 software. The study participants were caregiver-baby duos inserted in the Hearing and Language Monitoring Outpatient Clinic of the Center for Studies and Research in Rehabilitation Profº Drº Gabriel O.S.Porto of FCM / UNICAMP. The study was approved by the Ethics Committee under report 61724316.6.0000.5404. Results: Participants make use of the multimodal resources of the language, so that in contexts in which children do not use speech, the presence of gestures helps to identify that they are in the process of language acquisition, which shows the inseparable relationship between gesture and speech.Conclusion: Knowledge of the multimodal aspects of the language can provide a rich contribution to the assessment of the acquisition of children's language, since caregivers and children make use of multimodal resources in dialogical contexts.
