A mulher negra no entre-lugar: Luísa Mahin em Um defeito de cor de Ana Maria Gonçalves
Este artigo tem como propósito
desenvolver reflexões sobre o posicionamento
da mulher negra no entre-lugar ou espaços
de fronteiras normalmente resultantes de
processos diaspóricos. As reflexões ocorrerão
em torno das decisões e ações da personagem
Luísa Mahin (Kehinde), em sequestro na
África e chegada ao Brasil e a participação
em movimentos de reivindicação de direitos e
reconhecimento de sua cultura e identidade, no
romance Um defeito de cor (2006) de autoria de
Ana Maria Gonçalves. Alguns pontos retratados
na obra serão estudados: a convivência entre
povos de origens diferentes, coexistência de
diferentes práticas religiosas e planejamento/
participação na Revolta dos Malês. Para isto,
serão destacados trechos da obra em que a
personagem central irá se posicionar diante dos
acontecimentos que levarão ou a ressignificação
de práticas culturais e, consequentemente, sua
identidade, ou, ainda, resistência em aceitar a
cultura e a identidade do opressor. Estes fatos
serão analisados pela perspectiva do conceito
de entre-lugar de Homi Bhabha e crioulização/
mestiçagem de Edouárd Glissant. Desse modo,
a pesquisa apresenta a mulher negra não como
sujeito oprimido e silenciado, mas também como
sujeito com o poder de decisão e influência nas
sociedades multiculturais.

Abstract:
This article has the purpose to
develop reflections about the positioning of
black woman in-between or frontiers spaces
normally which are resulted of diaspora
processes. The reflections will occur around the
decisions and actions of Luísa Mahin (Kehinde)
character, her kidnapping in Africa and arriving
in Brazil and her participation in right claims
movement and recognition of her culture and
identity, in the novel Um defeito de cor (2006)
written by Ana Maria Gonçalves. Some subjects
presented in the masterpiece will be studied:
the coexistence of people from different origins,
different religious practices coexistence and the
planning/participation in Malês Revolution. For
that, it will be highlighted novel fragments in
which the central character will take some decisions that will get or the ressignification
of cultural practices and, consequently, her identity, or, still, the endurance to accept
the culture and the identity of the oppressor. These facts will be analyzed based on the
concept of in-between by Homi Bhabha, the concepts of creolization/miscegenation by
Edouárd Glissant. Thereby, the research has presented the Black woman not only as
an oppressed and muted subject, but as a subject with empowerment and influence in
multicultural societies.
