A MATEMÁTICA UTILIZADA PELOS FANDANGUEIROS NA CONSTRUÇÃO DA RABECA: POSSIBILIDADES DE DIÁLOGOS COM A MATEMÁTICA ESCOLAR
Por meio deste texto desejamos comunicar encaminhamentos e reflexões acerca de uma pesquisa ainda em andamento. O fandango é uma dança típica da cultura caiçara, que era realizada quando havia a necessidade de reunir a comunidade para um mutirão. Depois do trabalho, o dono da colheita oferecia uma festa, com danças e músicas executadas por meio de instrumentos construídos pelos mestres fandangueiros, como agradecimento pelo trabalho. Um deles é a rabeca, um instrumento de corda, semelhante a um violino, construído totalmente de forma artesanal. Nossa hipótese é que existe uma racionalidade matemática caiçara na produção da rabeca que, se colocada em diálogo com a racionalidade matemática escolar, pode contribuir no processo de ensino-aprendizagem da matemática, dando significado a ela para os estudantes, mas também fortalecendo a cultura caiçara. Dessa forma, nosso objetivo é investigar que relações podemos estabelecer entre os saberes caiçaras e os saberes da matemática escolar, tendo como tema gerador a fabricação da rabeca, na Ilha de Valadares. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa que se dá por meio de duas perspectivas: a História Oral em sua vertente temática e a Investigação-Ação-Participativa. O resultado esperado é que a hipótese seja confirmada, ou seja, da existência uma racionalidade matemática caiçara na produção da rabeca que, se colocada em diálogo com a racionalidade matemática escolar, pode contribuir no processo de ensino-aprendizagem desta, dando significado à mesma. Mostrando tanto que a cultura caiçara pode contribuir com o processo de ensino e aprendizagem da matemática, como também ela pode ser fortalecida nesse processo.

Abstract:
Through this text we wish to communicate referrals and reflections about an ongoing research. The fandango is a typical dance of the caiçara culture, which was performed when there was a need to gather the community for a joint effort. After work, the lord of the harvest offered a feast, with dances and songs performed with the instruments constructed by the masters fandangueiros, as an acknowledgment for the work. One of them is the rabeca, a stringed instrument, similar to a violin, entirely handmade. Our hypothesis is that there is a caiçara mathematical rationality in the production of the rabeca that, if placed in dialog with the educational mathematics rationality, can contribute to the mathematics teaching-learning process, giving it a meaning for students, but also strengthening the caiçara culture. That way, our goal is to investigate which relations can be established between the caiçara knowledges and the knowledge of educational mathematics, having as its generator theme the rabeca fabrication, on the island of Valadares. This is a qualitative research that is carried out through two perspectives: Oral history in its thematic aspects and research-action-participatory. The expected result is that the hypothesis is confirmed, i.e. the existence of caiçara mathematical rationality in the rabeca production which, if placed in dialog with the educational mathematics rationality, can contribute to its teaching-learning process, giving meaning to it. Showing both the Caiçara culture can contribute to the process of mathematics teaching and learning, as well as it can be strengthened in this process.
