Abstract: The rise of school violence in Brazil reveals a crisis that goes beyond disciplinary issues and reaches the existential and ethical dimensions of education. Recent reports of assaults, deaths, and planned attacks within schools indicate a deeper malaise linked to the loss of meaning and human connection. Based on Viktor Frankl’s Logotherapy, this article seeks to understand school violence as na expression of existential emptiness and to discuss preventive approaches grounded in the search for meaning. Founded on the “will to meaning” and responsible freedom, Logotherapy is presented as na educational and therapeutic tool capable of restoring values, strengthening mental health, and promoting a humanizing pedagogy. In dialogue with Paulo Freire, the proposal defends education as na ethical, political, and liberating act that allows individuals to find purpose, dignity, and responsibility toward life. This qualitative and theoretical-bibliographic study analyzes the phenomenon of school violence and proposes pedagogical practices—such as lectures, workshops, and discussion circles—focused on adolescents’ moral and existential development. It concludes that to educate for meaning is also to educate for peace, transforming suffering into learning and the school into a space for symbolic and emotional reconstruction.
