A LITERATURA AFRICANA NO ENSINO DE HISTÓRIA: CONSTRUINDO PERSPECTIVAS METODOLÓGICAS A PARTIR DE EXPERIÊNCIAS DE PESQUISA EM SALA DE AULA
O objetivo deste capítulo é apresentar uma experiência de ensino-pesquisa
que desenvolvo nas aulas dos componentes curriculares História da África e
Laboratório de Ensino de História na Universidade do Estado da Bahia (DCH VI,
Caetité-BA), e na execução do projeto de pesquisa Leituras de África e da Diáspora:
Explorando perspectivas para o uso da Literatura na Pesquisa e no Ensino de
História, associado ao Núcleo de História Social e Práticas de Ensino (NHIPE). Como
nos chama a atenção Edward Said em relação aos processos coloniais modernos,
em todo lugar fora da Europa onde chegou o europeu algum tipo de resistência foi
forjado. Dessa maneira, se por um lado a literatura foi fundamental para a
construção das atitudes, referências e experiências imperiais, por outro lado,
também se revela fundamental na construção narrativa das resistências,
especialmente, no momento em que servem de forma para os povos colonizados
afirmarem suas identidades e contarem histórias próprias. Nesta experiência de
ensino a literatura africana é tomada como fonte de pesquisa histórica, como obra
de arte, conhecimento e cultura, capaz de proporcionar interesses, prazer e
proveitos, bem como, ampliar nosso entendimento das sociedades onde emergiram.

Abstract:
The purpose of this chapter is to present a teaching-research experience
that I develop in the classes of the curricular components History of Africa and History
Teaching Laboratory at the State University of Bahia (DCH VI, Caetité-BA), and in the
execution of the project African and Diaspora Readings: Exploring Perspectives for
the Use of Literature in Research and History Teaching, Associated with the Nucleus
of Social History and Teaching Practices (NHIPE). As Edward Said draws attention to
modern colonial processes, everywhere outside Europe where the European arrived,
some kind of resistance was forged. Thus, while on the one hand literature was
fundamental for the construction of imperial attitudes, references and experiences,
on the other hand, it is also fundamental in the narrative construction of resistances,
especially when they serve as a way for the colonized peoples to affirm their identities
and tell their own stories. In this teaching experience African literature is taken as a
source of historical research, as a work of art, knowledge and culture, capable of
providing interests, pleasure and income, as well as broaden our understanding of
the societies where they emerged.
