Abstract: The scope of this research is the search for the effectiveness of constitutional social justice on the part of companies. To this end, it directs efforts towards business leadership from the perspective of the organizational culture of ethics of responsibility. As a research problem, it aims to answer the following question: how could business leadership contribute to the effectiveness of constitutional social justice? The hypothesis lies in the need to form an understanding of the ethics of responsibility for organizational maturity based on leadership. The specific objectives are: (i) understand the constitutional complexity of social justice; (ii) map how business leadership adheres to governance; and, (iii) present the ethics of responsibility as a mechanism for social justice and rapprochement with the Global Compact. The method of producing knowledge is hypothetical-deductive; the methodology, descriptive and exploratory; research techniques involve the collection of indirect data and bibliographic review, national and foreign, with a systemic approach. The conclusion lies in the fact that most Brazilian companies do not have the organizational maturity to include social justice as an element of decision-making and this is only possible with the implementation of corporate governance built on the ethics of responsibility for business leadership.
