A Liberdade Cristã em Perspectiva Libertadora: Uma Abordagem a Partir da Teologia da Libertação de José Comblin
Esta pesquisa analisa o tema da liberdade cristã em relação aos oprimidos e opressores, os ricos e os pobres, principalmente da América Latina e Caribe (ALC). A dissertação trata do tema da liberdade cristã na visão da Teologia da Libertação de José Comblin, que tem o enfoque na liberdade do ser humano. A missão de Jesus Cristo não é limitada a um determinado grupo; ela vai além das fronteiras. Para Comblin, ser libertado em termos cristãos significa libertar-se nos níveis pessoal, social, econômico e político. A dissertação estrutura-se em três capítulos: no primeiro, percorrer-se-á, de modo geral, na construção da compreensão conceptual do termo liberdade humana nas perspectivas antropológica-filosóficas e teológica bíblica. Depois, abordar-se-á a liberdade cristã e sua abrangência no âmbito libertador. O segundo, adentrar-se-á na história do Cristianismo e perceber-se-á o distanciar-se pela cristandade do ideal da liberdade cristã, e adequar-se aos poderes temporais. Convocando o Concílio Vaticano II, a Igreja se abre à realidade do mundo em constante mudanças. O terceiro, concentrar-se-á na ALC e nos resultados positivos do Vaticano II; o seu envolvimento à libertação. Tratar-se-á da libertação da pessoa, daquilo que a impede de desenvolver. Para Comblin, a liberdade cristã é baseada em Jesus Cristo como libertador da humanidade.

Abstract:
This dissertation focuses on the theme of Christian Freedom in relation to the oppressed and the oppressors, the rich and the poor, mainly from Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). It aims at developing Christian Freedom in the vision of the Theology of Liberation of José Comblin, which emphases on human freedom. The Mission of Jesus Christ is not only for a group of people; it goes beyond the borders. For Comblin, being free in Christian terms, means liberating oneself at personal, religious, social, economic and political levels. The dissertation is structured in three chapters: in the first chapter, it generally studies the construction of the conceptual understanding of the term, “freedom” in human beings from anthropological-philosophical and Biblical-theological perspectives. Then, it analyzes Christian Freedom and its scope of liberation. The second chapter will purvey through the history of Christianity and perceive how the Church had diverted from the ideals of Christian Freedom and acclimate to the temporal powers. Vatican II Council, made the Church open its doors to the reality of the world, constantly changing. The third chapter concentrates on the LAC, its involvement in the liberating human beings, and the positive results of Vatican II. This is liberating the person from whatever prevents him from developing. For Comblin, Christian Freedom is based on Jesus Christ as the liberator of mankind.
