A leitura das atas da Assembleia Legislativa do Estado do Pará (1964 - 1985)
50 anos após o golpe-civil militar
de 1964, segue em aberto os debates sobre
a história e a memória construída sobre este
período. No caso paraense, a historiografia
a respeito disto é recente e se ateve, por
certo tempo, a estudos sobre a Guerrilha do
Araguaia. O presente trabalho se refere aos
resultados da pesquisa realizada com as atas
e os anais da Assembleia Legislativa do Estado
do Pará produzidas durante o período da
Ditadura instaurada no Brasil (1964 – 1985). A
pesquisa visou compreender a cultura política
estabelecida nesta Casa Legislativa com os
governos militares, inserindo-se assim nas
investigações das relações sobre história e
memória coletiva. Não se limitando apenas
a análise das resistências e oposições, mas
sobretudo aos jogos de acomodação, as
mediações e as negociações firmadas por
esta instituição importante na conjuntura
local. Destarte, o Regime Militar contou com o
apoio de civis membros das instituições locais
para a efetivação do seu projeto autoritárioconservador
de modernização. Este trabalho
é vinculado ao projeto “A UFPA e os Anos de
Chumbo: memórias, experiências, traumas,
silêncios e cultura educacional (1964 – 1985)”
coordenado pela minha orientadora – Prof.ª
Dr.ª Edilza Fontes – e encerrado em 2017.

Abstract:
50 years after the military coup of
1964, debates about the history and memory
built on this period remain open. In the state of
Pará, the historiography about this is recent and
has been, for a while, only anent the Araguaia
Guerrilla. The present work refers to the results
of researches done with the minutes and annals
of the Legislative Assembly of Pará produced
during the period of the Dictatorship established
in Brazil (1964 - 1985). The research aimed
to understand the political culture fixed in this
Legislative House with the military governments,
inserting itself in the investigations of relations
about history and collective memory. Not only
the analysis of resistances and oppositions,
but especially the accommodation games,
mediations and negotiations signed by this
important institution in the local context.
Therefore, the military regime had the support
of civilian members of local institutions for the
realization of its authoritarian-conservative modernization project. This work is linked
to the project “UFPA and the Years of Lead: memories, experiences, traumas, silence
and educational culture (1964 - 1985)” coordinated by my advisor - Prof. Dr. Edilza
Fontes - and finished in 2017.
