Abstract: The new Migration Law has brought diverse and significant changes and discussions in the Brazilian migration context and became extremely relevant due to the Venezuelan migratory boom in Brazil, but precisely in the state of Roraima and its application often diverges from the established. The objective of this article is to present an approach on the implications of the recent Brazilian Migration Law and its implications on the Venezuelan migratory flow to Brazil. For this research, the methodological research was constructed by a data collection procedure with a bibliographical and documental review as well as by a data analysis procedure focused on geographic and sociological hermeneutics. Upon reviewing these materials, it can be seen that the application of the Law still differs from empirical practice and that this causes problems both for migrants and for governmental and supranational organizations that handle Venezuelan displacements. In this way, one can reflect and analyze the main changes that occurred in the legislation and how they affected the way the country receives its migrants and subsequently how the dynamics of spatialization and reception of these flows in the territory takes place.
