Abstract: This research deals with the judicialization of social movements in Brazil, considering that the guarantee of political and social rights by the Federal Constitution of 1988 substantially altered the political strategies of these movements in the country, which began to articulate their demands predominantly through legal institutions. But, it is believed that the Judiciary has presented divergent actions in the face of the analysis of the demands of the movements; sometimes he shows himself as a defender, sometimes as a criminalizer of these. Therefore, in view of this new context, the objective is to analyze the process of judicialization of social movements and, more specifically, to discuss its effects and interactions, to know about the attacks that these social movements have suffered as well as the resistance undertaken. Therefore, an ex post or summative evaluation research was chosen, aiming to work with impacts and processes, focusing, above all, on effectiveness and on the judgment of general value. Methodologically, it is a theoretical-empirical research carried out from different sources, primary and secondary, bibliographical, documental and electronic.
