A inserção do assistente social na saúde se dá, quando a demanda de cunho biológico se encerra com os atendimentos médicos. A necessidade de olhar o sujeito em sua subjetividade com o objetivo de atendimento humanizado, e específico realizado assim sob um aspecto de garantia de direitos diante de estado de adoecimento.
