A INTERDISCIPLINARIDADE NOS ESTUDOS DO MEIO AMBIENTE: ENGENHARIA CIVIL, ENGENHARIA AMBIENTAL E SANITÁRIA, GEOGRAFIA E CIÊNCIAS MARINHAS
A preocupação com o meio
ambiente, notadamente, a partir de 1970, trouxe
a interdisciplinaridade no aprofundamento
nessa problemática. Na Região Metropolitana
de Fortaleza, instalou-se várias obras costeiras,
para contenção da erosão. Portanto, o objetivo
foi trabalhar com alunos de graduação de várias
áreas, as medidas e intervenções adequadas na
proteção e reestruturação de praias. Três etapas
seguiu o estudo: gabinete, campo e laboratório.
Na Parte textual, houve leituras sobre temas
específicos, bem como, manuseio de softwares
e interpretação de imagens para confecção
de mapas. O Projeto foi criado para, buscar
solução (ões) para requalificação na Praia do
Icaraí. Percebeu-se que a maioria das obras
estavam em desacordo com as normas técnicas
e legislação ambiental, assim como, as suas
dimensões e posicionamentos inapropriadas as
características local. Os dados contemplaram
os parâmetros de onda, perfis topográficos,
caminhamento pela linha de preamar, registros
fotográficos, entre as praias da Tabuba e Icaraí.
Portanto, a proposta de Recife Multifuncional –
RAM foi à alternativa às obras de engenharia
costeira tradicional. Para o meio acadêmico, foi
um desafio executar esse projeto. No entanto, a
junção das áreas teve contribuição fundamental
para esse intento, mediante teoria e prática,
compuseram os objetivos de aprendizagem
desse estudo.

Abstract:
The concern with the
environment, especially since 1970, has
brought interdisciplinarity in the deepening
of this problem. In the Metropolitan Region of
Fortaleza, several coastal works were installed to
contain erosion. Therefore, the objective was to
work with undergraduate students from various
areas, appropriate measures and interventions
in the protection and restructuring of beaches.
Three steps followed the study: office, field and laboratory. In the textual part, there
were readings on specific topics as well as software manipulation and interpretation of
images for making maps. The Project was created to seek solutions (s) for requalification
in Icaraí Beach. It was realized that most of coastal works were in disagreement with
technical norms and environmental legislation as well as its dimensions and positions
were inappropriate for the local characteristics. The data included the wave parameters,
topographic profiles, walking along the preamar line, photographic records, between
the beaches of Tabuba and Icaraí. Therefore, the proposal of Recife Multifuncional -
RAM, was the alternative to traditional coastal engineering works. For the academic
world, it was a challenge to carry on this project. However, the union of the areas had
a fundamental contribution to this attempt, through theory and practice, composed the
learning objectives of this study.
