A INFLUÊNCIA PORTUGUESA NO TEATRO BRASILEIRO: UMA BREVE REFLEXÃO HISTÓRICA
Esse artigo pretende fazer uma breve retrospectiva histórica da influência portuguesa no teatro brasileiro, a partir de uma discussão introdutória acerca da origem e percepção de cultura, da relação entre o teatro e a sociedade, que caracterizam a influência portuguesa no desenvolvimento do teatro brasileiro. Considerando que o teatro é uma forma de arte que integra o amplo repertório de formas e expressões da cultura, com origens primitivas, a partir da necessidade do homem em dominar o mundo em sua volta, o introito dessa investigação apresenta uma perspectiva ampliada, abordando marcos e influências da origem e disseminação do teatro no Brasil, para depois destacar também alguns aspectos históricos da formação teatral na Bahia. O texto aponta a perspectiva weberiana, acerca da significação cultural como motor de suas formulações, bem como a compreensão da transversalidade da cultura pela economia, podendo ser alcançada pela análise de fenômenos como a crescente mercantilização da arte e as novas teses sobre o papel da cultura no desenvolvimento econômico. Trata-se de uma breve revisão de literatura e levantamento de dados históricos, com destaque para a primeira manifestação teatral em território brasileiro, nascida à sombra da religião católica, com a chegada da Companhia de Jesus, no século XVI. Foi possível perceber que o conceito de “cultura” é amplo e complexo, possuindo também caráter central e insubstituível na sociedade, e compreender que o teatro é uma forma de arte que integra o amplo repertório de formas e expressões da cultura. Além disso, a história apresentada permite comprovar que Portugal teve um papel fundamental para a formação do teatro no Brasil e que a cultura brasileira é uma síntese de todos os povos e etnias que passaram pelo país.

Abstract:
This article intends to give a brief historical retrospective of the Portuguese influence in Brazilian theater, starting from an introductory discussion about the origin and perception of culture, of the relationship between theater and society, which characterize Portuguese influence in the development of Brazilian theater. Considering that theater is an art form that integrates the broad repertoire of forms and expressions of culture, with primitive origins, based on man's need to dominate the world around him, the introit of this research presents an expanded perspective, addressing frames And influences of the origin and dissemination of the theater in Brazil, to later also highlight some historical aspects of the theatrical formation in Bahia. The text points to the Weberian perspective, about cultural significance as the engine of its formulations, as well as the understanding of the transversality of culture by the economy, and can be reached by the analysis of phenomena such as the increasing commodification of art and new theses on the role of culture In economic development. It is a brief review of literature and historical data collection, especially the first theatrical manifestation in Brazil, born in the shadow of the Catholic religion, with the arrival of the Company of Jesus in the sixteenth century. It was possible to perceive that the concept of "culture" is broad and complex, also having a central and irreplaceable character in society, and to understand that theater is an art form that integrates the broad repertoire of forms and expressions of culture. In addition, the history presented allows us to prove that Portugal played a fundamental role in the formation of theater in Brazil and that Brazilian culture is a synthesis of all the peoples and ethnicities that have passed through the country.
