Este artigo visou compreender a influência do pensamento liberal na educação brasileira no período em que vigorou a ditadura militar (1964-1985). Como o pensamento liberal se configurou no campo educacional no governo ditatorial brasileiro?  Adotou-se como método de investigação a pesquisa bibliográfica, além de recorrer a documentos oficiais referentes ao campo educacional vigentes no período em foco. No período da ditadura militar brasileira, as influências liberais proporcionaram mudanças nas estruturas de base e a educação foi redirecionada para formar o indivíduo para atender aos novos interesses socioeconômicos, servindo ao capital.

  • Abstract: This article aimed to understand the influence of liberal thought on Brazilian education durin the limitary dictatorship (19640-1985). How did liberal thought manifest within the educational sphere during the Brazilian dictatorial regime? The study employed a bibligraphic research method and Drew upon oficial documents regarding education that were in effect during the period in quastion. During the Brazilian military dictatorship, liberal influences brough about changes to foundational structures, and education was redirected to shape individuals to meet new socioeconomic interests, thereby serving the interests of capital.
