A IMPORTÂNCIA SOCIOECONÔMICA DA PAVIMENTAÇÃO DA ESTRADA NO ASSENTAMENTO 3 DE AGOSTO, ZONA RURAL DE LAJES/RN
As estradas são vias não pavimentadas que permitem às famílias moradoras da zona rural ter acesso à bens e serviços essenciais a sua sobrevivência. Porém, durante a locomoção entre a zona rural e a zona urbana essas famílias podem enfrentar dificuldades no direito de ir e vir devido as condições físicas da estrada, que como consequência influencia no desenvolvimento social e econômico da comunidade. Assim, com o intuito de investigar a importância socioeconômica da pavimentação da estrada situada no Assentamento 3 de agosto, zona rural do município de Lajes/RN, esta pesquisa quali-quantitativa, descritiva e estratégica, classificada quanto aos procedimentos como um Estudo de caso, utilizou como metodologia o levantamento bibliográfico em monografias, dissertações e artigos; a análise das condições físicas da estrada, por meio de uma visita e fotografias; a aplicação de um questionário semiestruturado direcionado aos assentados, contendo as seguintes variáveis: caracterização do perfil dos moradores do assentamento; produção agrícola realizada no assentamento e verificação dos transtornos enfrentados no deslocamento à zona urbana pela falta de pavimentação; e por fim os resultados e discussões, que foram apresentados em fotos e gráficos e discutidos para as considerações acerca dos objetivos desta pesquisa. Ao final foi possível constatar que a estrada não possui manutenção periódica e por isso não mantém sua funcionalidade, pois encontra-se com muitas erosões que prejudicam o tráfego e a segurança da mobilidade dos assentados para acesso à bens e serviços; influenciando também na produção agrícola, pois a estrada é essencial em todo o processo das atividades agrícolas.

Abstract:
Roads are unpaved roads that allow families living in rural areas to have access to goods and services essential to their survival. However, during the locomotion between the rural and urban areas, these families may face difficulties in the right to come and go due to the physical conditions of the road, which consequently influences the social and economic development of the community. Thus, in order to investigate the socioeconomic importance of paving the road located in the settlement 3 de Agosto, rural area of the city of Lajes/RN, this quali-quantitative, descriptive and strategic research, classified as a case study, used as methodology the bibliographic survey in monographs, dissertations and articles; the analysis of the physical conditions of the road, through a visit and photographs; the application of a semi-structured questionnaire directed to the settlers, containing the following variables: characterization of the profile of the residents of the settlement; agricultural production carried out in the settlement and verification of the inconveniences faced in moving to the urban area due to the lack of paving; and finally the results and discussions, which were presented in photos and graphs and discussed for the considerations about the objectives of this research. In the end it was possible to verify that the road does not have periodic maintenance and therefore does not maintain its functionality, because it has many erosions that affect the traffic and the safety of the settlers' mobility to access goods and services; also influencing the agricultural production, because the road is essential in the whole process of agricultural activities.
