A IMPORTÂNCIA E CONTRIBUIÇÃO DE PLANTAS MEDICINAIS PARA O FORTALECIMENTO DA IMUNIDADE: UMA REVISÃO DA LITERATURA
O que se entende hoje por fitoterapia tem suas raízes nos primórdios da humanidade, estando diretamente associada à biodiversidade de cada região e à cultura de um povo. Com o passar dos anos o uso dessa ciência tem sido aplicado para diversas finalidades, incluindo o fortalecimento da imunidade, isso porque ter uma imunidade fortalecida auxilia no combate a qualquer tipo de infecção, sendo fundamental estimular o aumento do sistema imune para deixa-lo mais resistente contra ataques patogênicos. O objetivo do estudo foi realizar um levantamento literário sobre a importância de plantas medicinais para o fortalecimento da imunidade, além de identificar espécies de plantas medicinais com ação imunoestimulante descrevendo seus respectivos mecanismos de ação, para isso foram selecionados 30 (trinta) materiais inerentes ao tema da pesquisa, resultando em 23 (vinte e três) plantas medicinais de ação imunoestimulante comprovada e demais informações quanto às vantagens do uso da fitoterapia.

Abstract:
What is understood today by phytoterapy has its roots in the beginnings of humanity, being directly associated with the biodiversity of each region and the culture of a people. Over the years, the use of this science has been applied for several purposes, including strengthening immunity, because having a stronger immunity helps to fight any type of infection, it is essential to stimulate the increase of the immune system to make it more resistant against pathogenic attacks. The purpose of the Study was to conduct a literary survey on the importance of medicinal plants for strengthening immunity, in addition to identifying species of medicinal plants with immunostimulating action describing their respective mechanisms of action, for this, 30 (thirty) materials inherent to the research topic were selected, resulting in 23 (twenty-three) medicinal plants of proven immunostimulating action and other information regarding the advantages about the using of phytoterapy.
