Abstract: The growing complexity of the business environment requires organizations to adopt advanced technological solutions to optimize management and increase their competitiveness. In this context, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems stand out as strategic tools for integrating data and processes, centralizing information and improving decision-making. ERP not only promotes operational efficiency, but also serves as a basis for the implementation of Business Intelligence (BI), enabling predictive and strategic analyses that give companies a competitive advantage. However, ERP implementation faces significant challenges, such as high cost, technical complexity, cultural resistance, the need for process adaptation and user training. Overcoming these barriers requires detailed planning, support from top management and effective change management strategies. This article explores the importance of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems in business analysis in companies, emphasizing how these systems integrate data and processes, optimize resource management and support strategic decision-making. The analysis is based on studies by Junior (2008), Antonelli (2010), Sinchetti and Bertaci (2021), Nisiyama and Oyadomari (2012), Laudon and Laudon (2014), and Padilha and Marins (2005).
