Abstract: ABSTRACT: This study aims to understand how family involvement and participation can contribute as a dynamic element in the rehabilitation process of patients in the context of the Rehabilitation Outpatient Clinic of the Campos Gerais Regional University Hospital. Given the relevance of the topic, it is necessary to reflect on the concept of family and how it can contribute to improving the quality of life of its relatives, favoring the rehabilitation process. The methodology used will be descriptive research based on the qualitative approach, using bibliographic and documentary research through websites and databases via the Internet, with the objective of deepening the study. Data will be collected through semi-structured interviews, with open and closed questions, which allows exploring a specific topic but provides flexibility to adapt new questions as they arise during the interview. The research will also be carried out using electronic medical records of patients monitored by the Rehabilitation Clinic and analysis of the PTS (Singular Therapeutic Project) carried out by the Institution, which indicate the progress and singularities of patients during the rehabilitation process with the multidisciplinary team. With the results, it is expected to understand how family support can positively influence the effectiveness of treatment and provide a more efficient and humanized rehabilitation process.
