Abstract: Regardless of whether Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has contributed to reducing the distance between Students, Teachers and Educational Institutions, the presence of a Tutor Teacher in the Virtual Classroom is of great importance in the learning process, in the Online Teaching Modality. Distance (EaD). This Chapter seeks to present, detail and conceptualizes the important role of the Tutor Professor in this teaching modality. The chosen method consists of exploratory and descriptive research through a bibliographical survey of authors and publications that emphasize the theme and answering the question object of the study: With the growth of the remote teaching modality, what is the importance of the Professional Teacher Tutor and the Information and Communication Technology (ICT), in the learning process in Distance Learning (EaD)? The general objective of the study is to detail the importance of the Tutor Professor associated with ICTs in the learning process, in the Distance Learning Modality (EaD). And as specific objectives: Analyze the role and profile of the Tutor Professor, in the Distance Learning Modality (EaD); Identify the technological, social and professional skills of the Tutor Teacher, to work in the Distance Learning Teaching Modality; Understand Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in the learning process in Distance Learning. The Tutor Professor is the fundamental piece in the link between the Full Professor and the Student. He is the one who facilitates, guides and motivates the student to stay in the classroom. Encouraging the student/apprentice to discover, develop and improve new ideas, opinions and, mainly, in the search for their own knowledge suited to their learning pace and availability. The result of the study shows how much this teaching modality has grown and provides an approach to the educational scenario in which old paradigms are being questioned and, consequently, reinterpreted.
