Abstract: With the growth of distance learning courses in Brazil, especially in the area of management, there was a need for colleges to offer courses with excellence and quality through practical and interdisciplinary activities. In view of this, an extracurricular activity was proposed to students of management courses - in person and distance learning - and advertising, only in person, the creation and organization of an event at the Barão de Mauá University Center. The general objective of this work is to show the importance of carrying out practical interdisciplinary activities in management and advertising courses, through partnerships between face-to-face and distance learning modalities, which bring more complex, in-depth and real knowledge in relation to to the job market for students. As a result, the “Marketing Fair” event, which has been taking place at the Institution for over 15 years, had for the first time the participation of students from distance learning management courses as organizers of the event. The theme of the event is renewed every year and with the victory of the Brazilian Olympic athlete, Rayssa Leal, in the skate/street event at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, the students chose this theme for the event, which was titled “The growth of media and changing consumer behavior among young people with a focus on extreme sports”. The work methodology was divided into three main stages: in the first stage, research was carried out in printed and online bibliographic references (theoretical deepening), in the second stage, in-depth semi-structured interviews were carried out on the following topics: sports, education, behavior consumption and social entrepreneurship. And finally, in the third stage, research was carried out to collect and analyze data in relation to the performance of the event in comparison with previous years and collect reports from students about the performance of the event. During the event, two interviews took place, with the following guests: Mc Léser, communicator, professor and communication specialist, with experience in the area of extreme sports and peripheral entrepreneurship associated with sport, and with Léo Spanghero, known as "Bodão ", professional skateboarder and skate teacher in the city of Rio de Janeiro. It is also worth mentioning that the event encouraged social responsibility through the donation of used sneakers in good condition and new sporting items to the Association of friends of Athletics of Ribeirão Preto (AAARP). The main results obtained were: reaching 1,030 views, promoting training and involving students in a practical activity of creating and organizing an event, training professionals with a more human and useful vision for the society in which they operate, and learning more dynamic and interesting for students. The main considerations regarding this practice is that this event provides support for the student to build knowledge more linked to the job market, meaning that the student can make mistakes and get things right until reaching the proposed objective achieved by the activity, thus reducing insecurities and providing more assertive and effective decision-making.
