A IMPORTÂNCIA DA MÚSICA E DO RÁDIO NO CONTEXTO POLÍTICO E SOCIAL NA ERA VARGAS (1937-1945)
Esta pesquisa busca compreender a
importância do rádio como meio de comunicação
durante o governo Vargas (1930-1945), bem
como analisar letras de músicas desse período
- análise que proporcionará discussões sobre
a censura imposta pelo governo Vargas,
principalmente durante o Estado Novo (1937-
1945). Pretendemos, com isso, identificar a
influência da música e do rádio naquele contexto
histórico, social e político do Brasil. Para tanto,
retomaremos autores que discutiram a Era
Vargas como Bóris FAUSTO e Silvia Helena
Zanirato MARTINS. Autores fundamentais para
a compreensão da complexidade que permeia
esse importante período da história brasileira. A
partir dessas leituras traçaremos um parâmetro
entre o papel político das músicas e do rádio
sobre a população brasileira.

Abstract:
This research seeks to understand
the importance of radio as a means of
communication during the Vargas government
(1930-1945) and to analyze lyrics that period
- This analysis will provide discussions about
censorship imposed by the government Vargas,
especially during the New State (1937 -1945).
We intend, therefore, to identify the influence of
music and radio in that historical context, social
and political development of Brazil. Therefore,
we will resume writers who discussed the
Vargas as Boris FAUSTO and Silvia Helena
Zanirato MARTINS. Authors fundamental to
understanding the complexity that permeates
this important period of Brazilian history. From
these readings will trace a parameter between
the political role of music and radio on the
Brazilian population.
