A IMPORTÂNCIA DA MATEMÁTICA PARA APRENDIZAGEM EM QUÍMICA
O estudo aqui apresentado é resultado de um trabalho de iniciação científica que faz a análise da influência da matemática para a aprendizagem em química a partir da percepção dos licenciandos no contexto de sua formação incial. Visa identificar quais as interferências da aprendizagem em matemática para o estudo da química e para tal, contou com a participação de estudantes ingressantes no curso de licenciatura em química do Instituto Federal de Ciência e Tecnologia de Brasília IFB, Campus Gama, no ano de 2019. Teve a participação voluntária dos estudantes em responder questionários que foram aplicados em diferentes momentos de sua formação durante o período de um ano e meio. Além dos ingressantes foram ouvidos, também estudantes veteranos e docentes da área de química no intuito de comparar suas respostas e identificar as relações estabelecidas. É uma pesquisa de intervenção realizada dentro de um contexto no qual os pesquisadores também estão envolvidos. Os instrumentos foram organizados e aplicados em momentos distintos da pesquisa que também contou com um aprofundamento bibliográfico para refletir sobre a relação da química com a matemática na formação de professores por meio de estudo das diretrizes de formação de professores e das propostas de ensino de ciências da natureza em evidência. O fato de a pesquisa ter sido realizada em meio à pandemia provocada pela Covid19, fez com que algumas das hipóteses iniciais fossem alteradas, mesmo assim, as análises apresentam resultados surpreendentes no desenvolver da pesquisa, dentre eles o de que a profundidade dos estudos de matemática no curso de licenciatura excede aquilo que realmente será utilizado pelo docente em sua prática diária.

Abstract:
The study presented here is the result of a scientific initiation work that analyzes the influence of mathematics for learning in chemistry from the perception of undergraduates in the context of their initial training. It aims to identify the interferences of learning in mathematics for the study of chemistry and, for this purpose, it had the participation of students entering the chemistry degree course at the Federal Institute of Science and Technology of Brasília IFB, Campus Gama, in 2019. It had the voluntary participation of students in answering questionnaires that were applied at different moments of their training during a period of one and a half year. In addition to the newcomers, veteran students, and professors in the field of chemistry were also heard to compare their answers and identify the established relationships. This is an intervention research carried out within a context in which researchers are also involved. The instruments were organized and applied at different moments of the research, which also included a deeper bibliography to reflect on the relationship between chemistry and mathematics in teacher education through the study of teacher education guidelines and science teaching proposals in the nature in evidence. The fact that the research was carried out during the pandemic of Covid19, made that some of the initial hypotheses were changed. Moreover, the analyzes show surprising results in the development of the research, among them: the fact that the depth of mathematics studies in the licentiate course exceeds what will be, in fact, used by the teacher in their daily and real practice.
