A IMPORTÂNCIA DA INICIAÇÃO CIENTÍFICA PARA O ENSINO APRENDIZAGEM DE QUÍMICA: CONTRIBUIÇÕES DO PROJETO PIC-Jr PARA A FORMAÇÃO DOS ALUNOS DA EDUCAÇÃO BÁSICA
A Iniciação Científica na formação inicial é uma ferramenta importantíssima para o desenvolvimento do conhecimento científico e crítico, com seus impactos no âmbito social e escolar. Essa pesquisa visa evidenciar a relevância da participação de alunos da educação básica na pesquisa científica, buscando identificar as contribuições para o crescimento do seu conhecimento químico e social. As reflexões feitas são baseadas em análises de relatos obtidos através de questionários, que foram aplicados com os alunos de escolas públicas estaduais da cidade de São Mateus - ES, que já foram bolsistas do Programa de Iniciação Científica Júnior voltados para área de química. Com os resultados obtidos percebeu-se que, a participação dos alunos no programa proporcionou para eles um crescimento intelectual e amadurecimento no trabalho em equipe, além de ampliar conhecimentos e possibilitar novas vivências. Além disso, o projeto despertou nos alunos um interesse em cursar o ensino superior.

Abstract:
Scientific Initiation in initial education is an extremely important tool for the development of scientific and critical knowledge, with its impacts on the social and school spheres. This research aims to highlight the relevance of the participation of basic education students in scientific research, seeking to identify the contributions to the growth of their chemical and social knowledge. The reflections made are based on analyses of reports obtained through questionnaires, which were applied to students from state public schools in the city of São Mateus - ES, who have already been scholarship holders of the Junior Scientific Initiation Program focused on the area of chemistry. The results obtained showed that the students' participation in the program provided them with intellectual growth and maturity in teamwork, in addition to expanding knowledge and enabling new experiences. Furthermore, the project has awakened in the students an interest in pursuing higher education.
