Abstract: The inclusion of persons with disabilities in the labor market continues to constitute one of the major challenges of contemporary society. Despite significant advances in legislation related to this matter, there remains a shortage of research in the field. According to data from IBGE (2022), the participation of workers with disabilities in companies is still limited, as barriers persist in terms of accessibility, both regarding entry and retention. In this regard, the present article seeks to examine and reflect upon the relevance of academic training for managers within undergraduate programs. It becomes evident that there is a pressing need to reconsider curricular components in order to broaden the scope of content and disciplines that may systematically contribute to the deconstruction of entrenched conceptions surrounding labor inclusion, while also providing the foundations for the development of managerial skills oriented toward equity, organizational values, and social responsibility consistent with the paradigm of diversity. It is incumbent upon managers to foster and embody the inclusion of persons with disabilities in organizational contexts, ensuring not only compliance with legal requirements but also the genuine acceptance of heterogeneity as an inherent characteristic of the human condition.
