A IMPORTÂNCIA DA FISIOTERAPIA EM PREMATUROS COM SÍNDROME DO DESCONFORTO RESPIRATÓRIO AGUDO: REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA DA LITERATURA
Os neonatos prematuros podem desenvolver a SDRA, pois estes ainda não possuem quantidade suficiente de surfactante. Essa insuficiência de surfactante provoca problemas respiratórios que levam a óbito se não forem tratadas precocemente e a atuação de um fisioterapeuta na UTI é indispensável no auxilio desse tratamento. Desta forma, este capítulo busca demonstrar a importância da atuação do fisioterapeuta no tratamento de prematuros com SDRA. Para tanto, foi realizado uma revisão integrativa de literatura de estudos publicados nos anos de 2010 até 2020 nas bases de dados Medline e SciELO, utilizando as palavras chaves: Síndrome do desconforto respiratório, membrana de hialina, desenvolvimento do sistema respiratório, prematuridade e neonatos. De acordo com as buscas, dos 8 artigos encontrados no Medline, apenas um foi incluído para análise e dos 76 artigos encontrados na base de dados SciELO, apenas dois estavam de acordo com o padrão estabelecido nos critérios de seleção para este capítulo. Este estudo demonstrou que a fisioterapia apresenta sua eficácia na UTI neonatal, prevenindo e reduzindo complicações respiratórias, promovendo assim um decréscimo na mortalidade desse público, além de contribuir com a diminuição do tempo de internação.

Abstract:
Preterm neonates can develop ARDS, as they do not yet have sufficient amounts of surfactant. This surfactant insufficiency causes respiratory problems that lead to death if not treated early, and the role of a physical therapist in the ICU is essential to assist in this treatment. Thus, this chapter seeks to demonstrate the importance of the role of the physical therapist in the treatment of premature infants with ARDS. Therefore, an integrative literature review of studies published in the years 2010 to 2020 in the Medline and SciELO databases was carried out, using the keywords: respiratory distress syndrome, hyaline membrane, development of the respiratory system, prematurity and neonates. According to the searches, of the 8 articles found in Medline, only one was included for analysis and of the 76 articles found in the SciELO database, only two were in accordance with the standard established in the selection criteria for this chapter. This study showed that physical therapy is effective in the neonatal ICU, preventing and reducing respiratory complications, thus promoting a decrease in mortality in this population, in addition to contributing to the reduction of hospitalization time.
