A IMPORTÂNCIA DA FESTA DO PINHÃO, PARA A VALORIZAÇÃO DA CULTURA NA COMUNIDADE SANTO ANTÔNIO, LINHA DOS POMERANOS, AGUDO/RS
Este projeto tem como objetivo
conhecer a importância da Festa do Pinhão,
na localidade de Linha dos Pomeranos,
interior do município de Agudo, que é realizada
anualmente no mês de Agosto. Buscando
através da pesquisa realizada com moradores
locais e idealizadores do evento o porquê de sua
realização e sua importância para os agricultores
familiares e coletores de pinhão da comunidade.
A metodologia adotada foi entrevistas formais e
informais com os organizadores e idealizadores
do evento, e com os coletores de pinhão locais.
Os resultados obtidos através da análise das
entrevistas mostram uma profunda relação
de identidade entre a comunidade e a arvore
araucária, através das histórias contadas e a
temática da festa. O que motivou a criação do
evento foi um antigo café colonial que existia na
região e que impulsionou o turismo local, bem
como uma forma de arrecadação e identidade
turística local. Os coletores mostraram um
profundo conhecimento sobre a produção
e coleta das pinhas, demonstrando que se
trata de um produto muito importante para a
alimentação e economia local. Estes também
observaram que a produção vem diminuindo,
por diversos motivos como questões climáticas,
uso excessivo de agrotóxicos e diminuição dos
exemplares de araucárias. Conclui-se que a
araucária, bem como a festa está intimamente
relacionado com a cultura do território estudado,
e é aconselhado o replantio e a valorização da
espécie e da cultura do pinhão.

Abstract:
This project aims to know the
importance of the Pine Nuts Festival in Linha dos
Pomeranos in Agudo, which is held annually in
August. The research was conducted with local
residents and idealizers of the event in order
to identify the reason of the Festival existence
and its importance for the community farmers
and pine nut collectors. The methodology of
this research was performed through formal
and informal interviews with organizers and
idealizers of the event, and with the local pine
nuts collectors. The results obtained through the

analysis of the interviews show a deep relationship of identity between the community
and the araucaria tree, through stories that are told and the theme of the event. The
motivation for the creation of the event was the existence of a local old colonial coffee,
which stimulated the local tourism, as well as a form of collection and local tourist identity.
A deep knowledge about the production and collection of pine cones was showed by
the collectors, which demonstrates the pine cone as a very important product for food
and local economy. It was also noticed that production has been declining, due to
climate issues, excessive use of agrochemicals and reduction of Araucaria specimens.
It was concluded that the Araucaria as well as the event is closely related to the culture
of the territory studied, and it is advisable to replant and valorize the species and the
pine nuts culture.
