Abstract: Introduction: Prenatal care is a crucial area for maternal and fetal health, requiring specialized attention and a multidisciplinary approach. The high prevalence of conditions such as gestational hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and advanced maternal age reinforces the need for rigorous and well-coordinated monitoring throughout pregnancy. These risk factors increase the complexity of care, making collaboration between professionals from different areas essential to ensure early identification of complications and the implementation of effective interventions, thus promoting better outcomes for mother and baby. Objective: Analyze the importance of the multidisciplinary team’s role in women’s health care during prenatal care in Primary Health Care. Methodology: This is an integrative literature review study. A bibliographic search was carried out in the electronic databases Lilacs, Scielo and Medline from 2019 to 2023. Results and Discussion: All articles mentioned have a qualitative approach, when analyzing the meanings of the results of each study, this type of study being characterized by describing the reality present in society, as well as the identification of the multidisciplinary team in the implementation and monitoring of prenatal care in primary health care. Conclusion: Collaborative practices between professionals from different health areas proved to be fundamental for the holistic and patient-centered approach. The integration of obstetricians, nurses, nutritionists, psychologists and social workers in the prenatal care process contributes significantly to the improvement of maternal and fetal outcomes.
