A IMPORTÂNCIA DA EDUCAÇÃO AMBIENTAL NO CONTEXTO ESCOLAR DE REDE PÚBLICA DO MUNICIPIO DE SIMÕES-PI

A educação ambiental é cada vez mais necessária, atualmente tem sido amplamente discutida na atualidade, devido à necessidade de uma melhoria do mundo em que vivemos, ao promover novos hábitos. A escola é um espaço onde o aluno irá dar continuidade ao processo de socialização. Todavia ela deve oferecer conteúdos ambientais de forma contextualizada com a realidade. Diante do contexto o MEC incorporou a dimensão ambiental, como Tema Transversal, nos currículos de Ensino Básico, caracterizando a Educação Ambiental como uma questão que exige atenção e discussão a respeito da relação entre problemas ambientais e os fatores econômicos, políticos, sociais e históricas que causam conflitos ambientais, e alerta para os cuidados que são indispensáveis para a manutenção e continuidade da qualidade de vida. A educação ambiental uma atividade tanto formal quanto informal com a qual a escola precisa se preocupar em promover simultaneamente a preservação do meio ambiente e melhoria da qualidade de vida. O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar a importância da Educação Ambiental no contexto escolar, no intuito de aprimorar o conhecimento e sensibilizar os alunos sobre a problemática ambiental, para que busquem soluções para os problemas atuais e contribuam para um futuro desejado para todos. Trata- se de uma pesquisa aplicada, descritiva de um estudo de caso com a finalidade de analisar a importância da Educação Ambiental no contexto escolar no município de Simões na Unidade Escolar Raul Sérgio. A coleta de dados foi através de questionário contendo 15 questões sendo elas objetivas e subjetivas. Os resultados obtidos observa-se que há uma compreensão de que a Educação Ambiental é um processo de educação que tem como principal proposta multiplicar conhecimento sobre o meio ambiente com a finalidade de formar a consciência dos cidadãos levando-os a adoção de comportamentos ambientalmente adequados. A questão ambiental requer novos conhecimentos teóricos e práticos para sua compreensão e resolução. Educação Ambiental é um processo onde as pessoas apreendam como funciona o ambiente, como dependemos dele, como o afetamos e como promovemos a sua sustentabilidade.

  • Abstract: Environmental education is increasingly needed, currently it has been widely discussed nowadays, due to the need to improve the world we live in, by promoting new habits. The school is a space where the student will continue the process of socialization. However, it must offer environmental content in a contextualized way with reality. In view of the context, the MEC incorporated the environmental dimension as a Transversal Theme in Basic Education curricula, characterizing Environmental Education as an issue that requires attention and discussion about the relationship between environmental problems and the economic, political, social and historical factors that cause environmental conflicts, and alert to the care that is indispensable for the maintenance and continuity of the quality of life. Environmental education is both a formal and informal activity with which the school must be concerned with simultaneously promoting the preservation of the environment and improving the quality of life. The objective of this work is to analyze the importance of Environmental Education in the school context, in order to improve knowledge and raise students' awareness about environmental issues, so that they seek solutions to current problems and contribute to a desired future for all. This is an applied research, descriptive of a case study with the purpose of analyzing the importance of Environmental Education in the school context in the municipality of Simões in the School Unit Raul Sérgio. The data collection was through a questionnaire containing 15 questions being objective and subjective. The results obtained show that there is an understanding that Environmental Education is an education process whose main goal is to multiply knowledge about the environment in order to educate the citizens towards environmental behavior. The environmental issue requires new theoretical and practical knowledge for its comprehension and resolution. Environmental Education is a process where people learn how the environment works, how we depend on it, how we affect it and how we promote sustainability.
