A IMPORTÂNCIA DA ARTE NA EDUCAÇÃO INFANTIL: CONTRIBUIÇÕES PARA O DESENVOLVIMENTO INTEGRAL DA CRIANÇA

A arte constitui uma das principais formas de expressão humana e desempenha papel fundamental no desenvolvimento infantil, favorecendo a construção de conhecimentos, a comunicação de sentimentos e a ampliação das experiências culturais das crianças. Na Educação Infantil, as vivências artísticas contribuem significativamente para o desenvolvimento cognitivo, emocional, social, motor e criativo, possibilitando que a criança explore diferentes linguagens e construa formas próprias de compreender e representar o mundo. Nesse contexto, o presente artigo tem como objetivo analisar a importância da arte na Educação Infantil e suas contribuições para o desenvolvimento cognitivo, social, emocional, cultural e criativo da criança. Trata-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, de abordagem qualitativa, fundamentada em produções científicas, livros e documentos normativos que discutem a arte como elemento essencial no processo educativo. O estudo apoia-se, principalmente, nas contribuições teóricas de Ana Mae Barbosa, Ferraz e Fusari, Vygotsky, Piaget, Wallon, Kishimoto e Cunha, além da Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC) e da Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação Nacional (LDB nº 9.394/96). Os resultados evidenciam que as experiências artísticas favorecem o desenvolvimento da imaginação, da criatividade, da sensibilidade estética, da autonomia e das interações sociais, contribuindo para a formação de sujeitos críticos, participativos e culturalmente inseridos em seu contexto social. Conclui-se que a arte deve ocupar lugar central nas práticas pedagógicas da Educação Infantil, sendo reconhecida como linguagem indispensável para a promoção do desenvolvimento integral e para a construção de aprendizagens significativas.

  • Abstract: Art is one of the main forms of human expression and plays a fundamental role in child development, promoting the construction of knowledge, the expression of feelings, and the expansion of children's cultural experiences. In Early Childhood Education, artistic experiences contribute significantly to cognitive, emotional, social, motor, and creative development, enabling children to explore different forms of expression and build their own ways of understanding and representing the world. In this context, this article aims to analyze the importance of art in Early Childhood Education and its contributions to children's cognitive, social, emotional, cultural, and creative development. This study is characterized as a qualitative bibliographic research based on scientific publications, books, and educational policy documents that discuss art as an essential element in the educational process. The theoretical framework is mainly supported by the contributions of Ana Mae Barbosa, Ferraz and Fusari, Vygotsky, Piaget, Wallon, Kishimoto, and Cunha, as well as the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) and the Brazilian National Education Guidelines and Framework Law (LDB No. 9.394/96). The findings indicate that artistic experiences foster imagination, creativity, aesthetic sensitivity, autonomy, and social interaction, contributing to the development of critical, participative, and culturally engaged individuals. It is concluded that art should occupy a central place in Early Childhood Education practices, being recognized as an indispensable language for promoting child development and meaningful learning.
