Este trabalho objetiva compilar

referências à ermida e à fonte de Nossa Senhora

d’Ajuda, localizada no tempo da colônia na vila

de Santo Amaro, na capitania de Porto Seguro.

A documentação, mapeada em narrativas

dispersas entre a produção escrita dos três

primeiros séculos de Brasil, foi organizada,

sistematizada e serializada, possibilitando

estabelecer possíveis relações entre elas, e

reflexões a respeito do que foi escrito sobre a

igreja e a Fonte da Senhora, no intuito de abrir

novos caminhos de pesquisa. Abarcando o

momento de sua fundação, no ano da chegada

dos Jesuítas ao novo mundo, até meados

dos séculos das luzes, após a expulsão dos

inacianos do Brasil, esta investigação procura

rememorar o que foi relatado sobre a primeira

casa da Companhia de Jesus e primeiro local

de milagres da Luso-América.

Abstract:
This paper aims to compile

references to the chapel and the source of Our

Lady of Ajuda, located at the time of the colony

in the village of Santo Amaro, in the captaincy

of Porto Seguro. The documentation, mapped

in scattered narratives between the written

production of the first three centuries of Brazil,

was organized, systematized and seriallized,

making it possible to establish possible relations

between them and reflections about what was

written about the church and Source of Lady, in

order to open new search paths. Covering the

momento f its foundation, in the year of the arrival

of the Jesuits to the new world, until the middle

of the centuries of lights, after the expulsion of

the Ignatians from Brazil, this investigation seek

to recall what was reported about the first house

of Society of Jesus and the first site of miracles

of luso-America.
