A Iconografia da Santíssima Trindade
O artigo abordará alguns pressupostos acerca da Iconografia da Santíssima Trindade a partir da indagação sobre a busca do artista em retratar o Deus uno e trino. Para isso voltaremos à Igreja protocristã e à gênese de sua arte calcada nos Evangelhos e nos escritos da Patrística. Verificaremos como o pintor chegou ao rosto de Jesus de Nazaré e às representações pictóricas de Deus-Pai e de Deus-Espírito Santo. Observaremos as matrizes que se consolidaram ao longo de mil anos e aquelas que foram abandonadas. Por fim, nos deteremos em um painel do século XXI que está na Basílica de Aparecida.

Abstract:
This paper will address the iconography of the Holy Trinity from the question about the artist's quest to portray the one and triune God. For that purpose, we will return to the proto-Christian Church and the beginning of its art based on the Gospels and the writings of Patristic. We will see how the painter came to the face of Jesus of Nazareth and to the pictorial representations of God the Father and God the Holy Spirit. We will then look to some consolidated matrices over the first thousand years and the ones discarded. At the end, we will observe a 21st century panel of the Basílica de Aparecida.
