A GRAVIDEZ NA ADOLESCÊNCIA EM PRESIDENTE PRUDENTE – SP: UM ESTUDO DESCRITIVO
Este estudo teve como objetivo principal descrever a incidência da gravidez na adolescência no município de Presidente Prudente – SP, entre 1994 e 2016. Foi realizada uma pesquisa descritiva, e os dados foram obtidos através do Sistema de Informações de Nascidos Vivos (SINASC), do Sistema Único de Saúde (DATASUS). Os principais resultados mostraram uma queda expressiva de quase 50% no número de bebês cujas mães eram adolescentes. Em 1994, as mães entre 10 e 24 anos responderam por quase metade dos nascimentos; já em 2016, houve uma inversão, e as mães entre 30 e 44 anos tiveram muito mais filhos que aquelas mais jovens. Foi possível concluir que, a partir do ano 2000, houve uma tendência, observada tanto no país como um todo e também no estado de São Paulo, de postergação da maternidade, e que, no caso de Presidente Prudente, a diminuição da gravidez na adolescência foi mais acentuada.

Abstract:
This study aimed to describe the incidence of teenage pregnancy in the city of Presidente Prudente - SP, between 1994 and 2016. A descriptive research was conducted and the data were obtained through the Live Birth Information System (SINASC), from Unified Health System (DATASUS). The main results showed a significant drop of almost 50% in the number of babies whose mothers were teenagers. In 1994, mothers between 10 and 24 years old accounted for almost half of births; however, in 2016, there was a reversal, and mothers between 30 and 44 years old had more children than those who were younger. It was possible to conclude that, from 2000, there was a tendency, observed both in the country as a whole and also in the state of São Paulo, to postpone maternity, and in the case of Presidente Prudente, the decrease in teenage pregnancy was more pronounced.
