A GRAMÁTICA EMOCIONAL DO ENVELHECIMENTO E AS DISPOSIÇÕES SOCIAIS DOS IDOSOS INSTITUCIONALIZADOS
O presente trabalho, de natureza
bibliográfica e documental, é uma tentativa
de estabelecer uma reflexão crítica acerca
das principais concepções em torno do
envelhecimento, tomando como ponto de partida
as discussões a respeito da gramática emocional
que permeia esse processo. Objetivando traçar
uma relação entre o envelhecimento e a cultura
emotiva do brasileiro em meio as condições
que levam à institucionalização dos idosos,
investigamos os aspectos sociais que constituem
a cultura emotiva desses indivíduos, moldando
as representações sobre o envelhecimento e
estabelecendo os parâmetros sociais em que
esse repertório emocional é formatado. Como
metodologia, utilizamos a análise documental
dos prontuários referentes aos idosos que
atualmente residem no Lar Torres Melo, uma das
maiores instituições de longa permanência para
idosos situada na cidade de Fortaleza - Ceará.
Como resultado, identificamos que o contexto
social em que vivem interfere na estruturação
da gramática emocional e dos sentidos que
são atribuídos ao envelhecimento da seguinte
forma: contribuindo para a atribuição de um
caráter negativo ao envelhecimento; através
da exclusão da dinâmica da sociedade (das
relações de trabalho e das relações afetivas);
não garantindo as condições materiais e
simbólicas para que os indivíduos consolidem
seus projetos de vida.

Abstract:
The present work, of
bibliographical and documentary nature, is an
attempt to establish a critical reflection on the
main conceptions about aging, taking as starting
point the discussions about the emotional
grammar that permeates this process. Aiming
to trace a relationship between aging and the
emotive culture of the Brazilian citizen, under
the conditions that lead to the institutionalization
of the elderly, we investigate the social aspects
that constitute the emotional culture of these
individuals, shaping representations about
aging and establishing the social parameters
in which this emotional repertoire is formatted.
As a methodology, we used the documentary
analysis of medical records referring to the
elderly who currently reside in Lar Torres Melo,
one of the largest long - stay institutions for the elderly located in the city of Fortaleza
- Ceará. As a result, we identify that the social context in which they live interferes with
the structuring of the emotional grammar and the meanings that are attributed to aging
as follows: contributing to the attribution of a negative character to aging; through the
exclusion of the dynamics of society (of labor relations and affective relations); not
guaranteeing the material and symbolic conditions for individuals to consolidate their
life projects.
