Abstract: The objective of this article is to present a study on teacher training in higher education in pedagogical practice, aiming to address a greater knowledge on the subject. Articles from the databases Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences – LILACS and Scientific Electronic Library Online – SCIELO were used in Portuguese with a critical basis of theoretical foundations of scientific research, which supported this work. However, it seeks to understand the difficulties of both higher education teachers and academics, in contemporary society in relation to the teacher, and the teacher-student relationship. In this context, it is important to emphasize that the study referenced here is a reflection of continuous knowledge.
