A FORMAÇÃO DO DOCENTE EM UMA SOCIEDADE MULTICULTURAL
Esse texto pretende trazer reflexões
sobre a formação do professor voltada para
uma educação multicultural, que valorize a
cidadania e a diversidade, rompendo com
antigos paradigmas eurocêntricos que trazem
em seu bojo a discriminação, o preconceito e
a exclusão social. Entende-se que o educador,
nesse mundo globalizado, precisa educar
sem discriminar, e que a formação docente
necessita urgentemente de uma ruptura com
currículos colonizadores, a fim de abarcar
o multiculturalismo em seus currículos e,
principalmente, em suas práticas cotidianas,
de modo que a identidade do outro passe a ser
valorizada.

Abstract:
This text intends to reflect on
the formation of the teacher focused on a
multicultural education that values citizenship
and diversity, breaking with old Eurocentric
paradigms that bring discrimination, prejudice
and social exclusion. It is understood that the
educator, in this globalized world, needs to
educate without discrimination, and that teacher
training urgently needs a break with curricula
colonizers, in order to embrace multiculturalism
in their curricula and, mainly, in their daily
practices, so that the identity of the other is
valued.
