A FINITUDE DA VIDA NA ROTINA DE TRABALHO: A FORMAÇÃO PROFISSIONAL PARA O ENFRENTAMENTO DA MORTE E DO MORRER
A morte é uma companheira diária entre profissionais da saúde no contexto de Unidade de Terapia Intensiva, causando sofrimento para quem a tem em sua rotina. Este estudo teve como objetivo investigar a presença ou ausência de qualquer abordagem das diferentes disciplinas presentes na formação e aprimoramento da profissão sobre a morte e do morrer. Consiste em um estudo com abordagem qualitativa, com seleção por conveniência dos participantes. A pesquisa foi composta por treze profissionais da equipe multidisciplinar, sendo estes: dois médicos, um nutricionista, um assistente social, um fisioterapeuta, um psicólogo, quatro enfermeiros e três técnics de enfermagem, que trabalham no setor intensivo de um hospital do extremo oeste catarinense. Utilizaram-se entrevistas indivuais, com roteiro não estruturado. O método utilizado para explorar os dados foi a História de Vida. A partir da análise dos relatos foi possível perceber que a dedicação, o profissionalismo, o cuidado no trabalho, bem como o sofrimento gerado pela morte são pontos chave e constantes dos profissionais e suas rotinas. Entretanto, suas formações profissionais mostraram-se limitadas em relação a abordagem da temática da morte e morrer como algo natural e inerente ao processo de cuidar. Por meio desta pesquisa compreendeu-se que é de fundamental importância voltar o olhar para o profissional e seu sofrimento no desenvolver da sua prática. Assim, constata-se a importância de abordagem e aprimoramento sobre o conteúdo morte na formação profissional, bem como a existência de um espaço e do profissional da Psicologia para que se permita expressar e elaborar sentimentos e temores inerentes a este contexto.

Abstract:
Death is a daily companion among health professionals in the context of the Intensive Care Unit, causing suffering to those who have it in their routines. This study aimed to investigate the presence or absence of any approach from different disciplines present in the formation and improvement of the profession the death and dying process. It consists in a study of qualitative approach, with selection by convenience of the participants. The research consisted of thirteen professionals from the multidisciplinary team, these being: two doctors, a nutritionist, a social worker, a physiotherapist, a psychologist, four nurses and three nursing technicians, who work in the intensive sector of a hospital in the west end of Santa Catarina. Individual interviews were used, with an unstructured script. The method used to explore the data was Life History. From the analysis of the reports it was possible to see the dedication, the professionalism, the care at work, as well as the suffering caused by the death; they are the key points and constants of the professionals and their routines. However, their professional training proved to be limited with regard to the theme of death and dying as something natural and inherent to the care process. Through this research it is understood that it is fundamentally important to look again at the professional, his suffering in the development of his practice. Thus, it is noted the of approaching and improving the death content in professional training, as well as the existence of a space and of the professional of psychology so that enables to express and elaborate of feelings and fears inherent to this context.
