A FILOSOFIA DA EDUCAÇÃO NO PENSAMENTO DE THEODOR ADORNO
O presente artigo é o trabalho final
da disciplina “Dialética Negativa”, ministrada
pelo Professor Dr. Bruno Pucci, na Universidade
Metodista de Piracicaba (UNIMEP). Ela se
embasa em uma revisão bibliográfica de
Adorno e de seus comentadores, entre eles o
professor que é profundo conhecendo desse
pensador. Estudar e conhecer Theodor Adorno
é apostar e conviver com o novo. Sobretudo em
educação. Uma de suas preocupações mais
fundamentais era compreender o processo
e formação do homem na sociedade. Daí o
interesse em entender o papel da pedagogia.
Para Adorno a “Indústria Cultural” transforma
a educação em mera mercadoria sujeita às
regras do mercado. Para Adorno, a educação
não tem como objetivo “moldar” o ser, ao
contrário, a educação deve ajudá-lo a libertarse
da opressão e da massificação. Suas
principais idéias sobre educação e mudanças de
valores tradicionais encontram-se em sua obra
“Dialética Negativa”. Destaca a evolução da
tecnologia que repercute também na educação.
A escola, hoje, prepara o aluno para o domínio
da informática como instrumento de trabalho e
formação pessoal atualizada. Todavia o caráter
crítico da educação está sendo colocado em
segundo plano em nome da modernidade.

Abstract:
This article is the final work of
the discipline “Negative Dialétic”, taught by
Professor Dr. Bruno Pucci, at the Methodist
University of Piracicaba (UNIMEP). It is based
on a bibliographical revision of Adorno and his
commentators, among them the teacher who
is deep knowing of this thinker. Studying and
getting to know Theodor Adorno is to bet and live
with the new. Especially in education. One of his
most fundamental concerns was to understand
the process and formation of man in society.
Hence the interest in understanding the role of
pedagogy. For Adorno, the “Cultural Industry”
turns education into mere commodity subject to
market rules. For Adorno, education is not intended to “mold” the being, on the contrary,
education should help him to free himself from oppression and massification. His main
ideas about education and changes of traditional values are in his work “Negative
Dialectic”. It highlights the evolution of technology that also has repercussions on
education. The school, today, prepares the student for the field of computer science as
an instrument of work and up-to-date personal training. However, the critical nature of
education is being placed in the background in the name of modernity.
