Abstract: This study, based on the concept of autobiography presented by Jacques Lecarme (2014), starts from the principle that some romancists can have their writing influencied by lived experiences in their every day. Therefore, through the textal criticism analysis method we have started from the reading of the novel The bare hours (1989) by Lygia Fagundes Telles, whose plot treats about thematics with social slant to discuss some internal indicators of this work that sugest an autobiographical connotation. In this way, our aim is to perform an analysis directed to identify autobiographical features presented into this narrative. For this purpose, we have used the contributions by Maurice Halbwachs (1990) and Michael Pollak (1992) regarding to History and Memory; Diana Klinger (2006), in relation to the writing of itself; Gabriel Faulhaber (2012), concerning to autobiography and the autobiographical novel; among other critical-theoristics who have been necessary. Thereby, we intend to show how such indicators are presented into the mentioned novel, considering the hypothesis that it is these connotations that allow the reader notices the link between the protagonist or determined happenings, and the story of life of the novelist. In summary, we have noticed that the novel mobilizes factual and biographical datas in the elabration of its diegesis so as to apropriate by features as of the autobiography much as of the autofiction in its thematics and structural construction.
