A FERRAMENTA GOOGLE EARTH NO ENSINO DA GEOGRAFIA: REVISÃO DE LITERATURA
O presente trabalho é uma pesquisa teórica, mais especificamente uma revisão da literatura, escrito de forma a apresentar o Google Earth® como ferramenta no ensino da Geografia escolar. Igualmente à ciência geográfica, a Geografia escolar busca analisar, interpretar e explicar o espaço produzido pela sociedade. Em seu planejamento de aula, o docente recorre a metodologias que permitam ao aluno compreender o conteúdo ministrado da melhor forma possível, dentre elas aquelas que envolvam o uso de tecnologias de fácil acesso no ambiente escolar. No ensino de geografia, atualmente, as tecnologias vem sendo cada vez mais empregadas como auxiliares no processo de ensino-aprendizagem, uma vez que não há mais a possibilidade de dissociação entre a educação e o emprego de novas tecnologias, pois os jovens têm feito uso de ferramentas tecnológicas cada vez mais cedo e com maior frequência. O presente trabalho teve como objetivo analisar a experiência desenvolvida no ensino de Geografia no ensino fundamental e médio, objetivando o conhecimento do “lugar” enquanto espaço de vivência dos alunos, a partir do uso de novas tecnologias, mais especificamente da ferramenta Google Earth®. De acordo com a literatura explorada, o Google Earth® pode e deve ser empregado para explorar as mais variadas questões relevantes no ensino de Geografia, mostrando-se de grande valia para o ensino de alunos que cursam o ensino fundamental e médio.

Abstract:
The present work is a theoretical research, more specifically a literature review, written in order to present Google Earth® as a tool to be employed in the teaching of Geography in school. As a geographic science, scholar geography seeks to analyze, interpret and explain the space produced by society. In his plans of classes, the teacher uses methodologies that allow the student to understand the content taught in the best way that is possible, among them those that involve the use of easily accessible technologies in the school environment. In geography teaching, currently, technologies are being increasingly used as coadjuvants in the teaching-learning process, since there is no longer the possibility of dissociation between education and the use of new technologies, once young people have been using technological tools earlier and more often. The present work aimed to analyze the experience developed in the teaching of Geography in elementary and high school, aiming at the knowledge of the “place” as a living space for students, from the use of new technologies, more specifically the Google Earth® tool. According to the explored literature, the Google Earth® can and should be used to explore the most varied relevant issues in the teaching of Geography, showing to be of great value for the teaching of students who attend elementary and high school.
