Abstract: Children’s Literature destined for students the Elementary School II brings a perspective to form readers competent and critics by means of appropriate reading strategies in classroom. This article has purpose to analyze the fable The little ant and Snow adapted by João de Barro more known Braguinha published in year 2001. The choice of this corpus brings the children’s imagination and portrays the effort and perseverance of the little ant, therefore, the fable have a vast possibility of works that can be developed in classroom for example the student can to identify allegorical language of genre. Therefore, the objective of this article is the analysis of lexical expressiveness and linguistics choices presents in genre fable considering a proposal of didactic sequence for students of 6th Elementary School II which aims the at students to understand, interpret the meaning and functionality of words for uncover the context of history.
